Manager Technical Operations & Application Engineering

Job Description

• Lead the Support Team, Application Engineers, and the overall technical workflow within the 3D Digitizing division across Europe.
• Ensure high-quality customer support, efficient technical service delivery, and continuous improvement of technical operations.
• Manage and develop a team of technical professionals, including recruitment, training, performance management, and career development.
• Oversee pre-sales and post-sales technical activities, including installations, training, demonstrations, troubleshooting, and maintenance across the region.
• Develop and implement technical service standards, processes, and best practices to ensure consistent service quality.
• Coordinate with R&D and product teams to provide technical feedback and drive product improvements based on customer insights.
• Manage technical resources, including spare parts inventory, service tools, and equipment, to ensure operational efficiency.
• Represent SHINING 3D at technical conferences, industry events, and customer meetings as the senior technical authority.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop technical strategies that support business growth and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in technical operations, application engineering, or related roles, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership position.
• Strong background in 3D scanning, inspection, CAD/CAM, or industrial metrology.
• Proven track record in leading technical teams and managing complex technical operations in a multinational environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English and German (additional European languages are a plus).
• Willingness to travel as required.
