Global Sourcing Manager (m/f/d) - Focus Packaging

In this role you develop and execute global packaging sourcing strategies to secure quality, cost, and sustainability at scale. You will work with Packaging Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to optimize supplier performance and drive digitalization of procurement processes. The role focuses on packaging materials across primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging, with supplier management and risk mitigation at the center. You will shape sourcing decisions that support Döhler’s nutrition-focused mission and global footprint.

• Develop and implement global packaging sourcing strategies for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while managing relationships with strategic partners
• Lead commercial negotiations for pricing, contracts, and long-term supply arrangements
• Analyze market trends, raw materials, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
• Drive cost optimization while maintaining quality and service standards
• Lead supplier performance management via KPIs, scorecards, audits, and business reviews
• Support sustainability objectives by sourcing environmentally responsible packaging solutions
• Manage supplier risk assessments, business continuity planning, and supply chain resilience
• Build market intelligence on packaging technologies, materials, and supplier landscapes across global markets

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Packaging Engineering, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management with packaging procurement
• Experience sourcing packaging materials such as packaging, rigid plastics, glass, labels, cartons, and related components
• Proven track record of supplier negotiations and delivering cost savings
• Strong understanding of global supply markets, supplier management, and procurement best practices
• Strong analytical, financial, and contract management skills
