In this role you will shape the global truck transportation sourcing strategy, working with cross-functional partners to secure quality, cost-efficient logistics. You will evaluate suppliers, manage tenders, and monitor market dynamics to optimize purchasing and contracts. You’ll ensure governance, sustainability, and supplier performance while exploring outsourcing opportunities. This position sits at the intersection of procurement, logistics, and digital tooling to drive supplier excellence in a nutrition-focused company.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Develop and implement global truck transportation sourcing strategy (ambient, thermo, dangerous goods, tank car)
Align procurement strategy with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Evaluate suppliers on quality, cost, and global standardization
Manage tenders, spot purchases, and supplier requests
Track price trends, adjust strategies, and negotiate contracts
Monitor fuel surcharges and ensure compliance with quality, governance, and sustainability standards
Monitor market dynamics to optimize purchasing timing and assess outsourcing opportunities
Oversee contract administration and maintain stakeholder engagement
Conduct performance reviews with preferred suppliers

Zentrale Anforderungen

Several years of professional purchasing experience in logistics (preferably truck transportation) in food or similar industry
Completed studies in Business Administration, Forwarding agent or similar field
Experience in SAP S4Hana, TMS, MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
Hands-on, independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
