Legal Counsel

As Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracting, you will advise BCG's Central European operations (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) on complex commercial matters and lead negotiations across a wide range of agreements. You will support technology-enabled and AI-driven client engagements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to craft pragmatic, innovative contracting solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives and contributing to knowledge sharing and process evolution. This role offers impact at scale within a globally connected legal function.

• Lead drafting, negotiation and execution of master services, software, cloud, AI-related, licensing, subcontractor and partnership agreements, including internal matters
• Own legal support for technology-enabled and AI-driven client engagements; collaborate with case teams and cross-functional stakeholders to develop contracting solutions
• Advise on commercial and AI/digital technology legal matters (IP, licensing, confidentiality, competition law, governance, COI, ownership of outputs) while balancing risk and commercial goals
• Drive contracting quality by applying risk management framework and updating standards, templates, and processes in light of regulatory developments
• Serve as trusted legal advisor to Central European business stakeholders and extend to broader European exposure
• Collaborate with Global Legal Team and other functions to resolve issues, share knowledge, and develop playbooks and templates
• Leverage AI-enabled legal tools to evolve technology-supported workflows and knowledge sharing across the legal function

• German-qualified lawyer (Volljurist) with First and Second Staatsexamen
• 5+ years in commercial contracting
• international exposure preferred; strong law firm background valued; in-house experience a plus
• native-level or business-fluent German and English; other European languages a plus
• legal tech experience a plus
• strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
