(Senior) Business Application Engineer – Polarion ALM

In this role you will configure, customize, and maintain Polarion ALM to support engineering, quality, and compliance processes. You will partner with business stakeholders to translate needs into effective ALM solutions while ensuring reliable operation and high user satisfaction. You’ll contribute to regulated environments through validation, change management, and documentation, driving process improvements and system capabilities. • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technical opportunities and gather requirements for Polarion customizations, workflows, reports, dashboards, and integrations
• Configure, customize, and maintain Polarion ALM solutions to support engineering, quality, and compliance processes
• Troubleshoot and provide user support to ensure reliable system operation and high user satisfaction
• Perform system admin tasks: user/role/permission management, monitoring, log analysis, upgrades, patches, validation, performance optimization
• Develop and maintain technical docs, operating procedures, and user training materials
• Support validation, change management, and compliance in regulated environments
• Collaborate with process engineers and business stakeholders to continuously improve processes and system capabilities

• Education in Engineering, IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience with Polarion ALM configuration, customization, administration and support
• Experience with Java and/or JavaScript
• Experience with REST APIs, databases (SQL), Git; modern development tools is an advantage
• Experience with Polarion SDK, Velocity scripting, and system integrations is a plus
• Ideally experience with ALM, Requirements Management, Test Management or regulated development processes
• Proficiency in English; German is an advantage
