Senior Named Account Executive - DACH

As a Senior Named Account Executive, you will drive adoption and expansion of GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform across mid-market customers. You’ll manage a broad book of Enterprise opportunities, guiding teams through buying journeys and aligning outcomes with business value. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, share customer insights, and contribute to our sales handbook. This role offers impact through shaping customer success and driving platform adoption at scale.

• Own a broad Enterprise book from new prospects to expanding existing accounts
• Manage full sales cycle from discovery to close for Enterprise prospects
• Articulate GitLab’s DevSecOps value and align to customer outcomes
• Analyze wins/losses and share root-cause insights with teams
• Maintain accurate, evidence-based buying criteria and pipeline
• Contribute to sales handbook improvements with best practices
• Provide account leadership across pre- and post-sales with technical teams
• Represent customer voice by contributing product feedback to the public issue tracker

• Proven success in software sales in an Enterprise context
• Ability to guide customers through the full buying journey and define buying criteria
• Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams
• Experience documenting pipeline and account plans based on evidence
• Skill in win/loss analyses and sharing insights to improve performance
• Proficiency in negotiation and leading commercial discussions
• Interest in GitLab, open source, familiarity with Git or ALM
• Willingness to travel and alignment with GitLab values and diverse backgrounds
• Fluent German language skills (required)
