Software Engineer - Autonomous Air System V&V

In this role you build and maintain high-performance simulation and validation tools for autonomous air systems. You join a mission-driven team to ensure reliable AI-enabled capabilities through SiL/HiL environments. You will work on real-time, deterministic simulations and robust test infrastructure that support high-risk, high-stress applications. You will collaborate across autonomy, systems, and hardware interfaces to deliver practical, trustworthy simulation solutions. • Review code contributions, RFCs and proposals to unblock colleagues
• Design and develop Rust-based modules for simulation and validation frameworks
• Build tools for automated test coverage, fault injection and regression testing
• Collaborate with autonomy and systems teams to ensure realistic conditions in simulations
• Debug, profile and optimize simulation performance for speed, determinism and fidelity
• Propose and implement new features, algorithms, or full products across the stack
• Mentor teammates and contribute to interviewing pipelines
• Share knowledge via tech talks and learning groups
• Maintain and improve the existing stack and interfaces with customers
• Enhance documentation and testing infrastructure to support robust environments
• Expand tests and benchmarks at micro and macro levels
• Present work at weekly demo sessions to gather feedback and align with team goals

• Write modern, maintainable Rust
• Experience in simulation, testing, robotics frameworks or autonomous driving
• Comfort with complex systems and concurrency
