Staff /Principal Product Manager - Data and Storage

We are seeking a Staff/Principal Product Manager to own the vision and roadmap for Render's datastores portfolio, with a focus on Postgres. You will define the future of managed database experiences, including how databases adapt to AI-native workloads and agent-driven state management. This role involves driving technical and strategic direction, collaborating closely with engineering teams, and shaping architectural decisions that prioritize reliability, performance, and developer experience. You will also engage with customers and product teams to understand data needs and build a clear path for the data layer.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in product management, with significant experience in databases, data infrastructure, or developer tools. Familiarity with Postgres architecture, operational models, and ecosystem is essential. Strong developer empathy, technical depth, and a track record of solving complex infrastructure challenges are required. Experience with AI agents, database engineering, or Postgres internals is a plus. This role is based in San Francisco or remote, with a preference for candidates who can work on-site.
