Supplier Development Manager (m/f/d)

In this role you drive supplier development and procurement for the Biberach production site and regional plants. You collaborate with internal teams to design and execute supplier plans, align on quality, delivery, capacity and cost, and proactively mitigate risks in the supply chain. You will conduct supplier visits, evaluations, and escalations to ensure stable, high-performing relationships. This position offers involvement in shaping supplier strategies and standardizing development processes within a globally active aviation support context.

• Coordinate key supplier issues for Biberach and regional plant procurement
• Develop and implement supplier plans, initiatives, and strategies with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Conduct supplier visits, on-site evaluations, reviews, and escalations
• Establish stable supply relationships focusing on quality, delivery, capacity, costs, and collaboration
• Coordinate technically and commercially with suppliers alongside plant purchasing, QA, engineering, and production
• Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement in the supply chain
• Contribute to development, implementation, and standardization of supplier development processes, tools, and methods

• Technical training with continuing education or a bachelor’s degree in a technical field
• Several years of experience in supplier development, supplier management, quality, production, technical purchasing, or similar roles in an industrial setting
• Strong technical background with understanding of manufacturing processes, technical drawings, quality requirements, and industrial supply chains
• Experience with suppliers, supplier visits, initiatives management, and negotiation
• Proficiency in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and data-driven analysis
• Excellent written and spoken German and English
