Team Leader Production (f/m/d) – Miniature Circuit Breaker Manufacturing

As Production Team Leader at ABB's Heidelberg site, you will head the MCB production area and drive a smooth, compliant manufacturing flow. You’ll manage about 35 staff, plan capacity, and optimize resources to hit targets. You lead continuous improvement efforts and collaborate with HR on staffing and development. You help build a lean, quality-focused production culture that supports ABB’s mission of a cleaner, smarter future.

• Lead a production area in MCB manufacturing and manage ~35 employees
• Conduct capacity planning and optimize resource use
• Identify optimization opportunities in processes and equipment
• Lead CIP/KVP projects and workshops
• Ensure smooth operations through leadership, organization, and HR collaboration
• Coach, motivate, and develop team members
• recruitment and alignment with deadlines and cost structures

• Certified Master Craftsman, Technician, or comparable technical qualification
• Several years of experience in production or related areas
• Experience leading manufacturing teams
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and manual assembly
• Proven experience with continuous improvement and Lean (KAIZEN, Lean Six Sigma)
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety and ISO quality standards
• Quick understanding, resilience, and strong team orientation
• Fluent German (spoken and written) and good English
• Willingness to work in shifts and occasional Saturday work
