Team Manager Backend Engineering (gn) full-time/ part-time

As Team Manager Backend Engineering, you define the technical direction for backend systems and lead a team to build scalable APIs and services. You ensure alignment with enterprise standards, drive reliability and security, and foster a culture of high performance. You’ll coach engineers and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver resilient, observable, and future-proof software. • Define technical architecture and strategic direction for backend systems
• Design, develop, and optimize APIs, services, integrations, and platforms
• Drive scalability, performance, resilience, security, and maintainability decisions
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and standards
• Establish and evolve API, service ownership, observability, security, documentation, and lifecycle standards
• Drive automation, testing, CI/CD, and productivity improvements
• Take end-to-end ownership of backend services and ensure operational readiness
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to backend engineers and teams

• Several years of software engineering experience with modern backend technologies
• Proven track record leading technical teams and coaching engineers
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, microservices, API design, and event-driven architectures
• Solid understanding of security principles and architectural decision-making
• Familiarity with observability, reliability, automation, CI/CD, and operational excellence
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
