Transport Network Planner - Senior Executive

Overview

In this role you will plan and manage fixed-network capacity and related orders, driving efficient capacity allocation for enterprise connectivity. You will work with cross-functional transport and network teams to design access and core solutions, ensuring service quality and adherence to SLAs. You’ll optimize SDH/DWDM/OTN transport, lead migrations and capacity projects, and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. This position offers an opportunity to shape the evolution of the network as it scales to meet demanding enterprise needs in Germany.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Deep knowledge of optical transport systems including OTN, ROADM, SDH, cross-connect switching, and topology planning
Create and migrate transmission bandwidth using SDH, DWDM & OTN
Design and planning experience for SDH, DWDM & OTN systems at high and low levels
Process enterprise capacity requests within fixed network under Classic SLA, including redundancy considerations
Manage capacity requests for enterprise connections with/without redundancy and ensure protection across MSP, MSPRING, and SNCP
Coordinate with transport network teams to design access/core networks and optimize capacity
Maintain strong operational relationships with customers, business owners, and stakeholders
Proactively monitor KPIs, SLAs, and service quality, and drive improvement plans
Handle operational issues by assessing impact and coordinating with technical teams
Support improvements through scope identification, process reviews, and new process deployment
