Vice President - Mergers & Acquisitions

We are currently working with a fast-growing, independent M&A advisory firm in Düsseldorf that is looking to strengthen its team with an experienced Vice President .

The firm advises owner-led and entrepreneurial mid-market companies across domestic and international transactions, with a strong focus on hands-on execution, senior client exposure and entrepreneurial responsibility .

What you'll be doing

• Take full ownership of mid-market M&A projects from initial preparation through closing
• Lead transaction processes and coordinate all relevant workstreams
• Prepare and review teasers, information memoranda, management presentations and transaction documentation
• Conduct company, market, competitive and business-model analyses
• Build and review financial models, scenarios and valuations in Excel
• Manage communication with clients, investors, lawyers, accountants and other advisers
• Take responsibility for project teams and junior team members
• Support the development of new mandates and client relationships
• Contribute to deal origination, pitches and sector presentations

What we're looking for

• 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in:
• M&A / Investment Banking
• Or a comparable analytical environment
• Proven experience working on multiple completed M&A transactions
• Strong understanding of mid-market M&A processes
• Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills
• Strong ability to assess companies, markets, competitors and business models
• Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Strong ownership mentality and ability to manage projects independently
• Fluent German and English
