Development Architect (f/m/d) Utilities Industry - German Energy Market Communication

In this role, you will own the architecture, design, and delivery of cloud-native software solutions and agents for market communication and metering in the ENR sector. You guide the development team from design to production while aligning with regulatory scope defined by product experts. You will drive architectural governance, evaluate technology choices, and serve as the primary technical contact across teams. You’ll engage customers on technical requirements and ensure solutions balance correctness, performance, and maintainability. This is a hands-on, leadership-focused role that shapes AI-powered engineering practices and enables rapid, reliable delivery at scale.

• Architect and deliver cloud-native software solutions and agents for market communication and metering in ENR
• Translate product requirements and regulatory changes into technical designs and actionable tasks
• Own end-to-end technical solutions for regulatory update cycles and agentic use cases
• Drive architectural governance and evaluate technology choices
• Act as the primary technical contact for development teams
• Engage customers directly on technical requirements and solution design
• Lead and mentor teams, align stakeholders on technical trade-offs and priorities
• Promote AI adoption and integrate AI in engineering workflows

• Hands-on software architecture and development experience
• Experience in utilities or energy industry; knowledge of German energy market communication
• Ability to translate requirements into designs and implementation plans
• Strong understanding of Agentic AI, SAP Business AI, and AI engineering in industry architectures
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills; cross-functional collaboration
• Consulting mindset with ability to navigate technical ambiguity and drive delivery
• Proactive use of AI to accelerate design, code reviews, testing, automation, and QA
• Excellent written and spoken German and English
