Director, Global Payroll Process Leader

In this role, you own the global payroll strategy and end-to-end delivery, including US payroll. You will drive transformation and standardization of the payroll operating model, partnering with HR, Finance, Tax, Legal, IT, and external providers to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll. You lead governance, audits, and supplier management while shaping a modern, employee-focused payroll experience. This is a high-impact leadership role across a multi-country landscape with global reach and senior escalation responsibilities.

• Own global payroll strategy and roadmap aligned with HR and business priorities, including US payroll oversight
• Establish payroll governance, controls, and compliance with validations, approvals, and audits
• Lead global payroll transformation: standardization, simplification, automation, supplier consolidation, and continuous improvement
• Manage payroll ecosystem: SLAs, KPIs, and vendor selection, contracting, and onboarding
• Champion employee payroll experience with clear communications and efficient query resolution
• Oversee payroll technology roadmap with IT, ensuring integration with HR and Finance systems
• Develop and lead a high-performing, geographically diverse payroll team
• Act as senior escalation point for payroll matters and coordinate internal/external audits

• 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership across multiple regions with US payroll knowledge
• Strong knowledge of multi-regional payroll practices, statutory/tax requirements, and audit readiness
• Proven experience in payroll transformation, process standardization, automation, and shared services models
• Leadership and stakeholder management with experience managing external suppliers and cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication, executive presence, project management, analytical, and risk-management skills
