Overview

As Facilities Engineering Manager, you will lead the engineering and operations of mission-critical facility systems in Stuttgart, ensuring reliability, compliance, and readiness. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across building systems, controls, and maintenance while managing risk and performance aligned with contract requirements. The role supports retro-commissioning and long-term reliability initiatives in secure environments. This position blends engineering leadership with operational oversight to protect mission continuity and infrastructure performance.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Provide engineering leadership and technical oversight for facility systems (HVAC, building automation, electrical, and related infrastructure)
  • Oversee system performance, reliability, and optimization per contract requirements
  • Analyze diagnostics and performance data to identify deficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • Authorize and implement system changes, upgrades, and optimizations
  • Support retro-commissioning and long-term reliability initiatives
  • Oversee day-to-day facilities engineering support and coordination with maintenance and controls teams
  • Provide technical direction during troubleshooting and system restoration
  • Ensure service response and repairs meet contractual performance targets
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures and technical documentation
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and act as senior technical point of contact for facilities matters
  • Review and approve engineering reports, assessments, and performance summaries
  • Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity expectations, and access-control policies
  • Maintain documentation of system changes and corrective actions
  • Prepare technical briefings and reports
  • Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Support audits, inspections, and performance reviews as required
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • 13+ years of experience in facilities engineering, operations and maintenance, or mission-critical infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, and building automation systems
  • Experience in secure or mission-critical environments
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in office and facility environments
  • Willingness to wear PPE as required
  • Travel up to 25% to support facilities in the UK, Italy, Germany, and Belgium
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligibility)
