In this Senior FPGA/SoC Applications Engineer role, you support the EMEA region as a technical authority for FPGA/SoC solutions. You work with cross-functional teams and customers to enable design activities, develop reference designs, and drive early adoption of new FPGA products. You will engage with regional field teams and global groups to resolve complex issues and shape product offerings. The position offers visibility toward technical leadership within the region and meaningful impact on customer success. Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Own complex technical issues end-to-end with root cause analysis and cross-team alignment
  • Act as technical authority for FPGA/SoC solutions in EMEA and support advanced design activities
  • Lead development of reference designs, design examples, and technical collateral
  • Cover full FPGA/SoC design flow including requirements, HDL development, simulation, placement and routing, timing constraints, timing closure
  • Support embedded processor system design and integration
  • Conduct board-level reviews focusing on signal integrity, power integrity, and high-speed interfaces
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve existing solutions and influence future products
  • Contribute to product validation, characterization, and rollout activities
  • Drive early adoption of new FPGA products, tools, IP cores, and development platforms
  • Train and enable EMEA FAE teams and technical support engineers
  • Customer escalation: provide expert pre- and post-sales support to key customers
  • Engage directly with customers on-site or remotely for high-impact technical issues
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years in FPGA architecture, design, or applications engineering
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA ecosystems from major vendors (Microchip, AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera)
  • Proficiency in VHDL and/or Verilog, working knowledge of C
  • Experience with embedded processors (ARM Cortex, RISC-V) and software development/debugging
  • Experience with FPGA design tools such as Libero, Vivado, or Quartus
  • Lab experience with measurement and debug equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer)
  • Understanding of board-level design principles including power integrity and high-speed routing
  • Strong system-level debugging and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to drive technical issues to resolution across teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Advanced expertise in one or more: DDR memory interfaces, timing closure, FPGA synthesis/simulation, high-speed SerDes, embedded processing systems
