Professional Services Consultant - Germany

As a Professional Services Consultant, you will deliver on-site, high-quality Fortinet security services to customers, guiding design, deployment, testing and optimization while collaborating with clients and Fortinet peers. You help ensure timely, cost-effective solutions and build confidence through clear communication and methodical delivery. You will deepen Fortinet product competency and enable knowledge transfer to client staff, supporting secure digital journeys. This role blends technical execution with strong relationship-building in a global customer base.

• Assist during Think and Build phases of customer projects
• Create and maintain technical project docs: designs, procedures, test plans, configs and scripts
• Provision and verify Fortinet configurations per approved design
• Test Fortinet solutions and validate system behavior
• Participate in interoperability/testing with devices interfacing with Fortinet products
• Recommend and implement Fortinet best practices
• Resolve/escalate technical issues promptly
• Deliver knowledge transfer to client staff
• Develop and maintain core competency on Fortinet products and technologies

• 7+ years experience in LAN/WAN/Network Security
• Experience designing/implementing FortiGate solutions or major third-party security solutions
• Experience in complex routing and WAN environments (BGP, OSPF)
• Experience maintaining or designing MPLS networks (L3 VPN)
• Exposure to MSSP or managed services (multi-tenancy, monitoring, reporting)
• Experience in scripting and automation (e.g. ZTP, integration into orchestrator, controllers, dashboard)
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
• Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
• Ability to elicit cooperation from diverse stakeholders
• Positive customer service attitude and strong soft skills
• Fluency in English and German
