Professional Services Consultant - Germany/Switzerland

As a Professional Services Consultant on site, you will deliver Fortinet security solutions to customers, collaborating with client teams and Fortinet peers to ensure timely, high-quality deployments and support. You’ll design, deploy, test, and optimize Fortinet-based solutions, while transferring knowledge and building long-term trust with customers. You will work within a cross-functional context to drive successful security implementations and continuous improvement. This role blends hands-on technical work with strong communication in a global customer environment.

• Assist the customer during think and build phases of a project
• Create and maintain technical project documentation (designs, procedures, test plans, templates, scripts)
• Provision, customize and verify Fortinet configurations per approved design
• Test Fortinet solutions and validate system behavior
• Participate in interoperability/integration testing with devices interacting with Fortinet products
• Recommend and implement Fortinet best practices
• Resolve or escalate technical issues promptly
• Deliver general knowledge transfer to client staff
• Maintain and develop core competency on Fortinet’s product line and technologies

• 7+ years in LAN/WAN/Network Security products
• Experience with FortiGate design/implementation or major third-party security solutions
• Experience in complex routing and WAN environments (BGP, OSPF)
• Experience in MPLS networks, specifically L3 VPN
• Exposure to MSSP or managed service environments (multi-tenancy, monitoring, reporting, supportability)
• Scripting and automation experience (e.g., ZTP, orchestrator integration, dashboards)
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team, and to elicit cooperation across stakeholders
• Positive customer service attitude and strong soft skills
• Fluency in English and German
