Systems Engineer - Carrier / MSSP - Germany

As a Systems Engineer in the Carrier/MSSP space, you will partner with sales to articulate Fortinet’s security and networking value. You contribute technical leadership across pre-sales, sales engagement, and select post-sales activities, helping to shape solutions for service providers. You will act as a domain expert, drive PoCs, and guide integration and design discussions for strategic opportunities. Your work directly supports expanding Fortinet’s footprint in carrier and MSSP markets while delivering trusted advisory guidance. • Demonstrate Fortinet portfolio and communicate technical and business value
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Carrier/MSSPs in assigned domain
• Create and qualify opportunities through technical assessment, upsell/cross-sell, and project influence
• Lead technical sales engagements, including demos, RfX responses, PoCs, and enablement
• Provide high-level architecture and implementation guidance for strategic opportunities
• Act as trusted advisor and maintain technical relationships with MSSP/Carrier accounts
• Collaborate with CSEs, Solution Architects, and Partners on complex opportunities
• Support PreSales, Sales & Channel enablement activities and events

• Minimum 3 years in pre-sales support with proven success
• Expert knowledge of networking (LAN, WLAN, WAN, SDN, routing, switching, Internet services) and network security (NGFWs, IDS, encryption)
• Strong customer focus and self-motivated, goal-driven attitude
• Ability to interface with senior stakeholders
• Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation, prioritization, and interpersonal skills
• Deep experience in installation/configuration of network devices and systems (UNIX/Linux, Windows, virtualization, containers, public clouds)
• Scripting knowledge (Ansible, Terraform, Python with API knowledge) is beneficial
• German and English language proficiency
