Systems Engineer

In this role you will help scale trivago’s tech operations across multiple regions, influencing infrastructure and collaborating with product teams to deploy robust solutions. You’ll tackle software and system issues in a fast, dynamic environment and push for process improvements and new approaches. You’ll contribute to projects that impact hundreds of millions of monthly users and help maintain a cutting-edge, data-driven platform. • Tackle leading software and system issues in a multi-region, large-scale environment
• Advise and collaborate with product teams to provide optimal infrastructure solutions
• Challenge current processes and explore new approaches to improvement
• Share ideas, research trends, and work on projects to enhance the platform
• Contribute to scalable, reliable operations across data centers and cloud regions

• 5-7+ years’ experience in a large-scale environment
• Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX, cloud technologies and containerized workloads
• DevOps mindset with strong systems architecture and infrastructure knowledge
• Ability to handle high responsibility and tight deadlines
• Proactive, opinionated, and good at identifying and remediating pain points
• Strong focus on efficiency gains through automation
• Proficiency in Google Cloud (stand-out requirement)
