Forward Deployed AI Engineer, Germany & Austria - BCG X

In this role, you will help shape AI-driven software solutions at BCG X, partnering with clients across regions and industries. You’ll design and deploy scalable AI software while contributing to thought leadership and community engagement. You work closely with cross-functional teams to translate challenges into robust, maintainable code. This is a chance to accelerate AI adoption and drive impactful transformation for clients and society.

• End-to-end analytics value-chain work: frame problems, design algorithms, implement and deploy scalable solutions
• Develop and deliver AI software products ranging from fully custom builds to industry-specific solutions
• Lead and participate in client-facing features and future product releases
• Contribute to thought leadership through scientific papers and conference leadership on behalf of BCG X

• Software development practices and standards applied to robust, maintainable software
• Involvement in every part of the software development process
• Ability to guide non-technical teams and consultants in best practices
• Optimize and enhance computational efficiency of algorithms and software design
• Comfort in fast-paced, client-facing environments and collaborating with diverse teams
• Excellent oral and written communication in German and English (C1/C2)
• Master's degree or PhD in relevant field
