Process Engineer

In this role you will support and optimize automated laboratory systems that power comprehensive genomic profiling for oncology. You will partner with cross-functional teams to improve workflows, maintain instrumentation, and deploy new protocols across clinical labs. Your work drives reliability, compliance, and efficiency in a regulated environment with on-site and off-hours support. You will play a key role in enabling precise, scalable lab automation that underpins patient-centered diagnostics.

• Provide on-site technical support for automated platforms
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and coordinate third-party service visits
• Enhance and develop automated workflows
• Lead maintenance, metrology, and calibration efforts across labs
• Install, test, and control new protocol versions on instrumentation
• Author SOPs, Work Instructions, IQs/OQs, Change Controls
• Participate in deployment of new instrumentation and processes
• Perform qualification activities on lab automation instruments
• Collect and report data on platform reliability and downtime
• Provide training and documentation for workflows to end users
• Work flexible hours including on-call off-hours support
• Comply with attendance policies and maintain safety standards
• Other duties as periodically assigned

• B.S. or B.A. in life sciences, bioengineering, biotechnology, engineering, or related disciplines
• 2 years in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, field service, or diagnostic lab setting
• 5+ years with automated laboratory systems (software and hardware) in relevant settings

• experience with robotic liquid handlers, lab automation, and instrumentation (Hamilton, Agilent, Beckman Coulter)
• familiarity with regulated environments (FDA, QSR, EU, CLIA, CAP, GxP, ISO)
• experience with enterprise software (ServiceNow, Veeva, Git, Confluence, JIRA, SharePoint)
