Sales Engineer, EMEA

As a Principal Sales Engineer with a deep Cloud Architect background, you act as theArchitectural authority for complex enterprise cloud environments and modern CI/CD pipelines. You partner with large prospects to design secure, scalable software supply chains within AWS, IaC, and Kubernetes, framing technical value in business outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of cloud engineering, security, and AI, shaping Sonatype’s role in enterprise cloud-native strategy. You will influence product direction and mentor the SE team while driving high-tech wins in Fortune 500 accounts.

• Lead advanced technical discovery and craft complex architectural blueprints for enterprise cloud environments
• Demonstrate and tailor highly technical solutions for large prospects
• Guide integration of Sonatype into CI/CD, container registries, and cloud infra using Terraform and Helm
• Advise on secure Cloud AI usage and data intelligence within software supply chains
• Translate infrastructure capabilities into business outcomes and risk mitigation strategies
• Bridge Product and Engineering through feedback loops and mentor the SE team on infra deep-dives

• Cloud Architect or Lead Infrastructure Engineer background in a sales engineering context
• Deep, production-level AWS experience (EKS, IAM, VPC, ECS, security controls)
• Terraform and Helm proficiency
• Knowledge of modern Cloud AI services, vector databases, and AI in SDLC
• Proven success in multi-stakeholder PoCs and technical evaluations in Fortune 500 environments
• Excellent ability to articulate complex technical concepts into business value
